Hatian TPS Project at NYLAG

The New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) has responded swiftly to the devastating earthquake in Haiti and the offer by the government of Temporary Protective Status (TPS) for Haitians in this country by launching its Haitian TPS Project. Working together with private law firms offering pro bono services, attorneys will provide legal assistance to eligible Haitians to remain in the United States for a period of 18 months.

NYLAG's relationships with 275 community-based organizations and health care facilities located throughout the five boroughs, Long Island, and Westchester and Rockland counties ensures this project's success.

NYLAG has established a special hotline (212 946-0351) for Haitians seeking legal assistance. For a printable hand-out describing the project, click here.
